Odour can be a persistent problem on its own, or
following a variety of insurance claims including water damage, fire damage and
mould growth. However, for a properly trained technician the odour problem is no
problem at all. This one day course will cover everything the technician needs
to know in order to ensure their customer is not left with a
lingering reminder of previous damage.
The course contents include:
What is odour?
Odour sources
Detecting odour
The ULV concept
Encapsulants
Thermal fogging
Chemical options
Classes of deodorants
And more . . . !
At the end of the course students can take the IICRC
Odour Control Technician (OCT) examination to gain an internationally recognised
qualification. This course is a must for those already covering fire and smoke
damage as well as anybody wishing to offer odour control services.
