The S100 provides the minimum standards for professional on-location
cleaning of installed textile floor coverings.
Prior to outlining
these standards, the S100 provides information for both professional
cleaners and the consumer on the importance of pre-cleaning
maintenance, basic principles of cleaning and the need for thorough
pre-cleaning and post-cleaning inspections. Furthermore, the
standards required for the five common on-location cleaning methods
(or variations thereof) are outlined, although no performance
comparison is made.
